The Anargyrios and Korgialenios School of Spetses Foundation (AKSS) has been in charge of the implementation of the vision and the management of the property left by the national benefactor Sotirios Anargyros.
The facilities of the AKSS Foundation near the traditional settlement of Spetses and the unique pine forest of the foundation – which covers about half of the island and ensures its sustainable development – played a key role in the activities of AKSS. during the period of operation of the School and its boarding school (1928-1983) and during the period that followed.
Indeed, with gradual upgrades, the facilities have become a magnet for national and international educational and research activities. In addition, the facilities – and in particular the 1100-seat outdoor theater on the adjacent property hill of the Foundation have hosted important cultural activities.
