The full-day excursion includes the following:

  •          Roundtrip transfer from Makedonia Palace Hotel by air-conditioned bus

We will embark on a full-day guided excursion from the Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki to the historic site of Vergina, the ancient capital of Macedonia. This journey will take you approximately 56 kilometers north, where you will explore the remarkable archaeological treasures of Aigai. Our first stop will be the Polycentric Museum of Aigai, a modern facility showcasing ancient kingdom artifacts. Here, you’ll discover exhibits illuminating the daily life, customs, and traditions of the Macedonian people. The museum features significant finds, including pottery, coins, and jewelry, alongside reconstructions of ancient structures.

Next, we will visit the Royal Tombs, where you can pay homage to King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. The tombs are adorned with exquisite treasures, including the famous Golden Larnax, symbolizing Macedonia's rich history. As we wander through the archaeological site, we will marvel at the remnants of the palace complex and theater that once served as cultural hubs in Aigai. This excursion promises an enriching experience filled with insights into Macedonia's illustrious past, making it a must for history enthusiasts and curious travelers.

Our tour will conclude with a dinner at a restaurant in Veria city.

Visa Invitation Letter

Greece follows the Schengen Agreement provision and the subsequent acquis concerning short-term visa issues stays of up to three (3) months in the Schengen area. The citizens of these countries are not subject to border controls within the common area (airlines or other carriers require identification – I.D. card or passport or any other piece of identification issued by a public authority). Citizens of the EU countries do not need a visa to enter Greece (and the Schengen area).

Participants who require an official Invitation Letter in order to attend the ACTC 2025, should tick the appropriate box during their online registration process. This service is provided only to assist participants who are required to obtain a visa or permission to attend the Assembly. It should not be considered an official invitation covering fees or any other expenses.

Please note that invitation letters are issued only to those participants who have completed the registration process (paid registration fees).

Please note that in case of Visa refusal, a full refund (minus 50€ which applies for administration fees) of the paid registration fee will apply, on the occasion that notification to the Organizing Secretariat is made up to two (2) months prior to the meeting dates (up to 24 July 2025).  Notification to the Organizing secretariat must be made by e-mail at info@actc2025.org  including the official visa refusal letter.
