Full Day Bay to Bay with Lindos

Sunday July 7th, 2024
Duration approx.: 10 hrs | 07:30-17:30 

Description: 
The boat departs from Mandraki harbour  at 9:00 am to visit a number of popular beaches. The boat will head towards the southern  part of the island and will stop at the famous Lindos beach.  After swimming at the crystal clear waters, guests have free time for lunch that will be served at a local taverna.

The program is as follows:
Departure: Mandraki 09:00 am
Stop for swimming (from the boat) at “Anthony Quinn Bay” | 20 min
Next stop for Swimming (from the boat) at “Tsambika beach” | 20 min
Arrival at “Lindos  beach” guests have approximately 3 hrs to swim, shop, eat at a local taverna

On the way back 
Stop for swimming (from the boat) at “Afandou beach” | 20 min

Photo stop at Kallithea Spa | 10 min
Arrival in Mandraki Harbor 17:30 – 17:45 aprox.
* Above times and destinations (bays) depend on the weather & sea conditions.

Full Day Island Tour

Tuesday July 9th, 2024
Duration approx.: 8 hrs | 08:00-16:00 

Description: 
Visit many places of culture and tradition around this beautiful island. See the highlights of the island with a professional guide. The tour begins from the Butterfly Valley where you can see species of colorful butterflies. Passing down the scenic coast of Soroni, Fanes, Kalavarda we reach the small village of Kritinia with the breathtaking view. Walking through the farmers’ village we visit the beautiful church and the farmers museum. Guests will have the opportunity to drink coffee at the traditional kafeneion of the village. Continuing along we arrive Embona’s wine factory for wine, souma, honey tasting. Later of the village of Apollona where guests have lunch in a traditional greek taverna. Last stop guests visit the scenic Lindos where they have free time to visit the Acropolis or have a swim at the beach.

Full Day Symi by Boat

Thursday July 11th, 2024 
Duration approx.: 9 hrs | 07:30-17:00 

Description: 
Symi is small Island in the Dodecanese and has a remarkable beauty.  The boat trip from the Tourist harbor takes 1 hour approx.. along the Turkish coastline to reach Yialos, Symi’s small picturesque harbor.  Colorful houses in neoclassical design, built in an amphitheater way, many small paved streets, numerous churches and monasteries, harbor side tavernas set a truly magnificent scene.  Walk up to the most ancient village of the island called Chora, where the view is breathtaking. 
You will have lunch at a typical greek taverna and try many specialties of Symi island.
There will be plenty of time to explore the shops, visit the sponge center, different types of sponges available and get a taste of the local life.
The boat also visits Panormitis, the west coast port of the island, where you may visit the famous 12th century monastery of St-Michael the Archangel, protector of the locals and fishermen.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of an excursion is to be made in written to the IIW2024 Congress Organizing Secretariat. The following cancellation policy will apply:
-For cancellation requests received until June 24th, 2024: 100% of the total amount will be refunded 
-For cancellation requests received from June 25th, 2024, onwards: no refund applies. 

All refunds will be made within two months after the end of the Congress. Bank charges will be deducted.
